We hold an email address and a country code, and that is all

What data this site processes, why, for how long, and your rights.

What we process

If you subscribe to the briefing, we store the email address you provide, the type of subscription, the site it came from, the time of subscription and the two-letter country code supplied by our network provider. Nothing else.

We use no third party analytics with cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies and no behavioural profiling. There is no display advertising on this site.

Why

To send you the briefing you asked for. The lawful basis is your consent, given when you submitted the form.

Sharing

The subscriber list is not shared, sold, rented or disclosed to anyone, including newsletter sponsors. This is stated on the newsletter page as one of the things sponsorship cannot buy.

Retention

Until you unsubscribe. The unsubscribe link is at the foot of every issue and takes effect immediately.

Your rights

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Write to us through contact. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Links from this site go to regulators, legislation and official guidance. Those sites have their own privacy arrangements, which we do not control.

The Feedworthy briefing

One email a fortnight. What changed in food labelling, claims and pricing rules, and one pack phrase taken apart. A sponsor line is carried at the foot of each issue and is labelled as such. It cannot influence a legal status verdict, and the rate card says so in writing.

We use your address for the briefing and nothing else. See privacy and the rate card.
